Randal Betz Jr. grew up playing on the beaches in New Jersey, developing a deep love of animals and nature. He wears many different hats these days, one of which is passionate advocate for turtle and tortoise conservation. Betz created the Helix series to inspire others that no matter the challenges one faces, there is always a way to overcome with compassion, empathy, and kindness. He resides in Delaware with his wife Meghann and their four children.
